Online dating sites are a place where there is no need for anyone to feel pressured into anything or to put up with any behavior that is unsatisfactory.
You must always remember that you are only seconds away from stopping someone from having any contact with you so even if you have been the subject of poor behavior offline there is no longer a need for you to put up with that again.
You have the ability to control your life and that is another aspect of online dating sites that is a major benefit for people who have previously had no control in their relationships.
If, for example, you find that someone is applying the pressure to you to give them your personal information, address or phone number, you should never feel obliged to give it to them until you are completely satisfied that you want them to have it.
If someone is treating you in a disrespectful manner then you can ban them from contacting you and you never have to deal with that person again.
It is a lot easier to get what you want online and where offline relationships can be difficult to end the same does not apply online.
You need to be very wary of anyone who is acting in a manner that causes you distress because you can almost guarantee that their behavior will be worse in the ‘real world’ and no one deserves to be treated poorly.
Even after you meet with someone for the first few times you should keep most of your personal information to yourself until you can make a decision whether you want to take the relationship further.
You have many more options available to you now so you should never make do with ‘good enough’. If you do that you could be missing out on your soul mate and wouldn’t that be a shame?
